Plein Air Painting

Artist Anne Goetze resides on a small farm in the countryside outside of Leiper’s Fork, Tennessee. Her cherished subject matter features the rural life and landscape of middle Tennessee. She will be walking all attendees, whether they be beginner, intermediate, or expert artist, through the painting style of Plein Air. Attendees will have a painting easel and materials set up at the property’s creek near the covered bridge as they take in their glorious surroundings and express their view through a painting to take with them as a memento of their time at Southall.

Plein Air painting literally means “painting in the open air.” It is an expression of one’s surroundings, and Anne will guide participants step by step on how to express their own interpretations.
